Are you dopamine driven?

It can be a reality that we can be in heaven together but it might not be too. I hope that we are. It’s a burden that I have for myself to be in the kingdom and anyone that I can help to be there too. The fact is we aren’t there yet. We’re still in a war. This war has only intensified since the cross of Christ.

Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

The war in heaven between Christ and Satan has come to you and I. This warfare is of the mind. Who is going to control the mind; the seat of your affections/your treasures? Where are your treasures? On Earth or Heaven? Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The battle field is the human brain.

Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.

That’s the battle. To be carnally minded is to die, to be destroyed. This world will pass away. Everything you own, what you are, will be destroyed if it is built in this earth. We want to understand this warfare and exactly where the battle is. To be carnally minded is sin.

There are many invalids today who will ever remain so because they cannot be convinced that their experience is not reliable. The brain is the capital of the body, the seat of all the nervous forces and of mental action. The nerves proceeding from the brain control the body. By the brain nerves, mental impressions are conveyed to all the nerves of the body as by telegraph wires, and they control the vital action of every part of the system. All the organs of motion are governed by the communications they receive from the brain.–3T 69 (1872). {1MCP 72.3}

If your arms, legs, mouth and tongue do something that is sin, the problem wasn’t with your arms, legs, mount or tongue the problem was with your brain. If God will affect your mind and give you holiness of thought, what will your actions be? Holy actions. This warfare is clearly over the mind.

We should preserve the strictest chastity in thought and word and deportment. Let us remember that God sets our secret sins in the light of His countenance. There are thoughts and feelings suggested and aroused by Satan that annoy even the best of men; but if they are not cherished, if they are repulsed as hateful, the soul is not contaminated with guilt, and no other is defiled by their influence. Oh, that we each might become a savour of life unto life to those around us!.–RH, Mar 27, 1888. {2MCP 432.2}

If you feel sad are you sad Does it mean you are sad? If you feel angry does it mean you are angry? Not necessarily. There is a process of the thoughts that are allowed to go so far before it is sin. The stage before sin is called temptation. You can’t be tempted if there is no thought. If there is no thought there is no word and if there is no word there can be no action. We are just refining this right down to where the battle really lies. These thoughts and feelings are aroused by who? Satan. Can Satan make me feel a certain way? If I stepped on your toe can you feel something? I can make you feel a certain way. It’s not magical to comprehend that Satan can make us feel certain things. We want to understand how Satan is going to battle for the mind. He is wrath with the woman and the church. If you want to follow Jesus Christ you have a battle ahead of you. This battle is to get those thoughts acted upon and cherished into that heart. Look at what the Bible tells us about this warfare.

If there is a thought that comes in, is that sin? If it is cherished in your heart, the frontal lobe, is it sin? If the truth of God is in the outer court of the brain are you saved? You can know all the facts and doctrines but if the truth is there are you saved? If it stays there. While ever it is there your name is registered in the books of heaven. Can your name be removed? The Bible says it can. The forehead is the battle. The mark of the beast or the seal of God. there are only two options. Those who have the seal of God will have security. Right in the frontal lobe is the battle. There is a dividing wall between the heart and intellect which all hell will try and break down.

2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way.

In the apostles time there was something hindering the manifestation of the mystery of iniquity and it had to be removed before the mystery could be manifest.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 [Even him], whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

This antichrist power, this mystery of iniquity is going to work after the same manner as Satan. Why? Because Satan is the one controlling it.

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Do we see some big keys in this warfare how the enemy of souls is going to work? He is going to use the same power. It is going to be a deception. What is a deception? Thinking something is real that is not. Having thoughts in your mind that aren’t true but if they are in your mind, how do you know they are not true? You think whatever is in your mind is true so that is the truth but it might be error so error becomes your truth but does that change your truth? The truth is the truth. This has to do with deception over the mind. There is another key. Those won’t don’t love the truth and who have pleasure in unrighteousness. That word pleasure means enjoyment. This deception has to do with the way of thinking that you really enjoy that is not truth at all and it is going to come right there as you didn’t love the truth. The Bible speaks of this warfare. This chapter in revelation is given to the fall of Babylon. This is the working of Satan. We are looking at a time when it is being destroyed.

The World is Deceived by Sorceries

Revelation 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Here we have the entity that was persecuting the church. The dragon was wrath with the woman and went to persecute the woman via this man of sin. By this system which is none other than the Roman Catholic Church, there has been a deception from this place which was after het working of Satan. How was it deceived? By thy sorceries. This is the entity that was persecuting the church. The dragon was wrath with the woman, when to persecute the woman via this man of sin. This man of sin is none other than the catholic church. It was deceived, how? By thy sorceries. What does a sorcerer do? He’s a wizard and has potions. In the Greek this word is Pharmacia where we get our word pharmacy from. A drug store. By the drugs will all the nations be deceived by these chemicals.

For a deception to take place, error comes in. When you get information, you evaluate it before you believe it. For a deception to come in your judgement wasn’t working too well. Then it comes into the frontal lobe and it’s pleasurable. Taking pleasure in unrighteousness. Satan wants to bring down the wall of your judgement, so he can take hold of the frontal lobe. This battle line is the target, needs to have Mr Judgement out of the equation. That is the first thing he wants to bring down, so he can give you error and you will take it as truth. Every man believes that whatever you think is correct. As you think in your heart, so are you. What is the potion that will break down your judgement wall and make your experience pleasurable? It’s made up of carbon, hydrogen, hydroxide, methylene and a nitrate. Brew that recipe. That chemical has the power to break down that wall of judgement and give you pleasure. It is Dopamine. It’s a neuro-hormone, created in the hypothalamus, excreted in different parts of the brain, and you need it. If you don’t have it, you’ll have Parkinson’s disease. People with low dopamine have attention deficit disorder. This chemical makes you focused, motivated, gives you self-esteem, when you feel good about yourself. It doesn’t mean you are good it just makes you feel that you are. It needs to be at a certain level. The people that take ADHD drugs give you dopamine so you can concentrate. Dopamine controls the flow of information from the intellect to the frontal lobe.

Dopamine

If you heart is open, then your learning is extremely efficient. Dopamine is the chemical which gets past that wall. The devil is thinking it’s a wonderful thing. Dopamine also gives you pleasure. It makes you focused, it gives you drive, puts the bounce in your step and in large doses it gives you ecstasy.

There is nothing pleasurable without dopamine. There is a drug called marijuana also called dope from the word dopamine. Marijuana is a catalyst that releases large quantity of dopamine. Then everything becomes so interesting and nice. Whenever you do something pleasure, the brain marks that. The problem with dope is that when it comes into your brain, it’s at higher levels than normal. The body doesn’t do it like that. The receptors in the frontal lobe get excited and desensitised to the normal level.

So when you come off the dope, you feel depressed. You think, I want whatever i had before and this begins addiction. Life becomes boring when you’re off dope so you have to keep taking it. It’s the same with any other drug. Methamphetamines are the most dangerous drug that anyone can take because it is 3.5 times more powerful on your system than cocaine. People that take crystal methamphetamine get a rush of pleasure. They can do some amazing things but people that are prolonged on meth, their body pulls back against the abuse. It ceases to make dopamine. When you come off meth, there is zero pleasure in life. Then in very bad cases, even when you are on meth, there is no pleasure because you have destroyed, depleted your body.

Would you like a life like that? Children with ADHD receive a prescription with methamphetamine and they take it and feel better but when they come off, they feel worse. That gives them the appetite for addiction. Would you give that to your children? It’s not addicted to the drug, it’s addicted to dopamine. There is not addiction that does not put dopamine into the frontal lobe. We’ve seen the results in our lives, of intoxicating things. Has it wrecked society? Yes. This addiction to dopamine will be the cause of the destruction of the world. We’ve destroyed our bodies, caused additions, and created offence.

Alcohol

Tea and coffee, as well as tobacco, have an injurious effect upon the system. Tea is intoxicating; though less in degree, its effect is the same in character as that of spirituous liquors. Coffee has a greater tendency to becloud the intellect and benumb the energies. It is not so powerful as tobacco, but is similar in its effects. The arguments brought against tobacco may also be urged against the use of tea and coffee. {CD 426.1}

What does alcohol produce that makes it addictive? Dopamine. The Spirit of Prophecy says that tea and coffee has the same effect as liquor. What is alcohol? Stimulant or depressant? Depressant. What is coffee? Stimulant. Alcohol and caffeine are quite different but the prophet said they are similar in effect. Some people say that is proof she’s not a prophet. But they both produce the same thing, dopamine. The prophet said it’s less in degree but it’s still the same. It’s talking about dopamine. 

There is a period of refractory, which gives clarity of thought. What takes place in the brain before to after the climax? Dopamine comes to its height at the climax and then prolactin comes in. The addiction is to dopamine. We don’t have to be addicted to drugs, or stimulants, we can be addicted to our sensuality. This is called the lust of the flesh; dopamine. That is the thing that makes you addicted to things so whatever is in your mind you will believe as truth. When children grow up and become adolescents, the body is adjusting to all these chemicals. They don’t know what is going on. If they can know what is going on, they can save their life. What does the Bible say in regards to the body?

Vessels of Gold and Silver

2 Timothy 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

What is this talking about? The human body. Inside a house there are beautiful vases, these vessels that hold things. In our bodies we have vessels that hold hormones. Some you need, they are very good hormones and some can lead you astray. There are some to honour and some to dishonour.

2 Timothy 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, [and] prepared unto every good work.

There are vessels that can be to dishonour, but sanctify yourself. Set aside for a certain purpose. If it’s used outside that purpose it’s not sanctified. If we purge ourselves, have healthy bodies and sanctify, then we will do every good word for the Lord acceptable before him.

2 Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

We need to sanctify our frontal lobe, love the Lord, and flee youthful lust. What goes on with teens when boys and girls are around? We should avoid it. Young people need to be very switched on about how to act around each other.

Songs of Solomon 4:12 A garden enclosed [is] my sister, [my] spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

He’s talking about his wife and he is saying that there is a fountain sealed. There are chemicals that are something shut up at the moment. This is in relation to the vessels we have in our body. They can excrete chemicals but they are shut up.

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Fornication is only fornication because of dopamine otherwise there would be no issue with it at all. If go and steal something it’s an outward act, if I swear it is an outward act but fornication is a sin against the body. When dopamine goes beyond its legal use, sanctified by God, we are sinning against our own body.

1 Corinthians 7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman.

7:2 Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

Don’t Touch!

The Bible is saying to the young people that if you are in a position to be married but not just that, men shouldn’t be touching women, it says it is not good for a man to touch a woman. Why? Because when the first touch occurs, the sun shines and life is wonderful. Whatever that person says, you’ll believe them. You’ll get an arrow in your heart but that is a problem. God is saying if there are people that are interested in each other, don’t touch each other. Keep your hands to yourself because the vessels are to dishonour when not sanctified for holy use. The bible says the marriage bed is honourable. Outside of marriage it is to dishonour.

This is a problem because the Bible says if a man looks upon a woman to lust after her, he has committed adultery in his heart already. What does the visual stimulus from a male to a woman who is unclad or barely clad woman do to the brain? It releases dopamine and then you’ve already committed adultery. See why Jesus said that then if a man touches a woman who is stimulated by touch and a man is stimulated by sight, these things the Bible is very clear on, that we need to be hands off and dress up. Put your clothes on. Then you’ll have a chance to get a right marriage as you can really get that judgement right.

Nothing Changed

When a girl finds a boyfriend, she gets motivated, self-esteem comes up, and someone loves me. Who loves them? The Dopamine loves them. What’s changed? Nothing but the dopamine level in the head and it’s simply a deception but to the person if you feel it, isn’t that you? If you feel happy, are you happy? There is a difference between the joy of the Lord and this type of joy. When the pastor comes along and says you shouldn’t be touching, they get upset and they will disregard their parents, the preacher and listen to all the suggestions of their partner. Simply don’t touch. Satan will get you addicted to something so when your addiction is over you might go and gamble. That is how you’ll wreck your life before you’re 40. How do we as Christians need to behave but not just in relationships, but in everything?

1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, [even] your sanctification,

The process to be sealed in your forehead, the only hope to have security on this planet. It’s God’s will that you don’t die. It says, abstain from this fornication. You don’t want to get addicted to it, if you want to be sanctified.

1 Thessalonians …that ye should abstain from fornication:

God knows that if you want to be sanctified you don’t want to get addicted to this at all.

1 Thessalonians 4:4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; 5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

What is concupiscence? People that don’t know God, unfortunately many Christians only know dopamine. They do not possess their vessels as they are in the lust of concupiscence, evil passion, and bad passion. We need to learn how to possess our vessel. In regards to girlfriends and boyfriends, I’ve not finished.

The ideas of courtship have their foundation in erroneous ideas concerning marriage. They follow impulse and blind passion. {AH 55.1}

A passion that has knocked this wall down, they will follow that. What chemical does that? Dopamine. Dopamine was only discovered in the 1900’s before that no one knew. We are reading something from the 1800’s that simply says they follow dopamine.

The courtship is carried on in a spirit of flirtation. {AH 55.1}

The parties frequently violate the rules of modesty and reserve and are guilty of indiscretion. {AH 55.1}

The youth trust altogether too much to [DOPAMINE] impulse. They should not give themselves away too easily, nor be captivated too readily by the winning exterior of the lover. Courtship as carried on in this age is a scheme of deception and hypocrisy, with which the enemy of souls has far more to do than the Lord. Good common sense is needed here if anywhere; but the fact is, it has little to do in the matter. {AH 55.3}

Keep this wall up as courtship isn’t marriage, you are not locked in. Courtship is the outer court for marriage you can leave and go as you please. You want to keep this wall up so you can leave anytime you like. Dopamine is the cause of deception. This world wants you to engage in courtship, where you release dopamine and you think you’re matched. You think you are absolutely perfect for each other as you’ve never been as happy since you met this person. Everything becomes wonderful, it’s ecstasy. Anyone that wants to cross them is a threat to their happiness when really when I see someone in a relationship that is not good as they are touching each other and I tell them they get upset with me. I know it’s dopamine because if a dog was chewing a bone and I took the bone away it would get upset as its pure passion. If it wasn’t passion they wouldn’t get upset as there is nothing to lose as it is not that which is making me happy, it is Jesus making me happy.

To trifle with hearts is a crime of no small magnitude in the sight of a holy God. {AH 57.1}

It’s not childhood play. Playing with each other’s hearts by flirting and coming together when you shouldn’t be is a crime and this whole world is a crime as when people get married and are all loving and when the realities of life hit, dopamine goes and it’s a burden and a yoke that you wish you never got into. The person who is on dopamine believes they will never get into that situation because they are deceived.

And yet some will show preference for young ladies and call out their affections. {AH 71.3}

Those vessels that those affections come from only belong under a covenant of marriage and even then they need to be guarded and respected. What is the dangerous forbidden ground? This in excess. We’re in the battle. Are you addicted to something?

When one commandment of the Decalogue is broken, the downward steps are almost certain. When once the barriers of female modesty are removed, the basest licentiousness does not appear exceeding sinful. Alas, what terrible results of woman’s influence for evil may be witnessed in the world today! Through the allurements of “strange women,” thousands are incarcerated in prison cells, many take their own lives, and many cut short the lives of others. How true the words of Inspiration, “Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.” {AH 58.3}

Beacons of warning are placed on every side in the pathway of life to prevent men from approaching the dangerous, forbidden ground; but, notwithstanding this, multitudes choose the fatal path, contrary to the dictates of reason, regardless of God’s law, and in defiance of His vengeance. {AH 59.1}

What is the dangerous ground? This in excess outside of its sanctified use. That is the dangerous ground. We are in a battle field. Are you addicted to something? Learn how to possess your vessels in your body. You’re hormones. You can activate your prolactin. Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child. Dopamine is the pleasure. You go silly. The judgement isn’t there. Children do things because their chemicals are all over the place. It’s still developing. The Bible says if you get a rod, with love, implant it on the bottom, prolactin will come into the head. Game over. That is the chemistry. If we want to keep our vessels there is a remedy.

What does dopamine do? It helps you concentrate on the thing giving you pleasure. Reason is blinded and judgement overthrown. Do you see how Satan is going to get into your head? All he needs is this chemical. If you take an IV of dopamine, it wouldn’t affect your brain as God has put a block to stop the IV injection in your mind. So Satan finds other chemicals that will do it. Fornication is the most natural way to do it without taking substances but he’s invented many substances that add to his arsenal. This is his main aim, to break us down.

… They will not submit to any advice or control, but insist on having their own way, regardless of consequences. {AH 71.3}

This sounds like someone on drugs, because it is.

…Like some epidemic, or contagion, that must run its course is the infatuation that possesses them; and there seems to be no such thing as putting a stop to it. {AH 71.3}

If you’re in a relationship and not married, do you want to know how you’re infatuated? Call it off. Would you be willing to do that? When dopamine gets shut down, you get sad. People see where the drug is coming from and that is their addiction. It’s a hypocrisy and a deception. Hand’s off. This doesn’t just apply to courtship. It also applies to many other areas.

Some will acknowledge the evil of sinful indulgences, yet will excuse themselves by saying that they cannot overcome their passions. This is a terrible admission for any person to make who names Christ. “Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” Why is this weakness? It is because the animal propensities have been strengthened by exercise, until they have gained the ascendancy over the higher powers. Men and women lack principle. They are dying spiritually, because they have so long pampered their natural appetites that their power of self-government seems gone. The lower passions of their nature have taken the reins, and that which should be the governing power has become the servant of corrupt passion. The soul is held in lowest bondage. Sensuality has quenched the desire for holiness and withered spiritual prosperity. {CG 446.2}

Can you see how Satan can use that chemical? If you keep using it, you’ll be addicted and it will war against your government. Then you’ll be a noble person totally crippled to the flesh.

Solemn messages from Heaven cannot forcibly impress the heart that is not fortified against the indulgence of this degrading vice. The sensitive nerves of the brain have lost their healthy tone by morbid excitation to gratify an unnatural desire for sensual indulgence. {CG 446.3}

The brain nerves which communicate with the entire system are the only medium through which Heaven can communicate to man and affect his inmost life. Whatever disturbs the circulation of the electric currents in the nervous system? {CG 446.3}

Dopamine affects the circulation of the electrical currents. The prophet is undoubtedly talking about that hormone.

… lessens the strength of the vital powers, and the result is a deadening of the sensibilities of the mind. In consideration of these facts, how important that ministers and people who profess Godliness should stand forth clear and untainted from this soul-debasing vice! {CG 446.3}

It’s wrong and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise because it will get you addicted to more stronger addictions. There’s a part of the brain that is called the reward system of the brain. This part is where a child has done something good and you reward them, they perk up. What does that? Dopamine. In different levels. It gets very proud. If you keep patting its back, it will think it’s the most proud thing on the earth. Anything that brings success will produce it. When someone is successful, what happens to their bank account? When someone gets a large amount of money that releases dopamine. The love of money is the root of all evil. What is the love of money? Dopamine. The love of dopamine is the root of all evil. By thy sorceries was all the nations deceived. Stimulating food releases dopamine.

MSG produces dopamine. You see chips and feel good and you think that it’s the chips that makes you feel good. Chocolate is the same. Anything extremely delicious releases dopamine. This chemical is so dangerous when it is unsanctified. In this reward system, when there is success in whatever it is, there is the pride. The Bible says that everything in the world, the lust of the flesh (dopamine), lust of the eyes, (dopamine) and the pride of life (dopamine), is not of the Father. In other words, if you are getting a dopamine rush, it wasn’t God that did it.

The Last Generation

We need dopamine in correct levels. The Bible tells us in Luke 20 that there will be a last generation. Beware that you be overcharged with surfeiting. That’s partying. That’s dopamine. It’s saying to the last generation beware lest you be overcharged with dopamine. You have to have some, but don’t be overcharged. What happens when you overcharge the battery? It stinks. It is the same with us. We stink before God. This pride of life we need to identify. Young people at the pulpit, really feel the power of the holy spirit. Everyone is listening, saying amen and they think they are a good preacher. What’s happening? Dopamine. They are addicted to the pulpit.

Make sure it’s not a novice, lest he be puffed up. When you are learning something new, that releases dopamine. You can get addicted to learning new facts, Knowledge puffs up. What else does knowledge do? It causes sorrow. University courses are geared to pump your brain that you will never use, you’ll finish university and you’ll be depressed. You don’t have that rush anymore. You’ll get your degree. Then you’ll get your masters, PHD and then you’re an addicted doctor, to knowledge. When we do these things, we need to make sure God is in your heart to keep us from our addictions.

We need to shun everything that would encourage pride and self-sufficiency; therefore we should beware of giving or receiving flattery or praise. {COL 161.2}

What happens if everyone claps? Dopamine. If the preacher flatters the congregation, they’ll love it.

It is Satan’s work to flatter. {COL 161.2}

Let your light shine to glorify God. Praise God for any good thing we see. Telling the person is only going to make them feel good. Don’t they need encouragement? Pray for them that the Lord will bless them for their good work. Don’t flatter them.

He deals in flattery as well as in accusing and condemnation. {COL 161.2}

Only sad thoughts come from the evil one? Happy thoughts too.

Thus he seeks to work the ruin of the soul. Those who give praise to men are used by Satan as his agents. Let the workers for Christ direct every word of praise away from themselves. Let self be put out of sight. Christ alone is to be exalted. “Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood,” let every eye be directed, and praise from every heart ascend. (Revelation 1:5.) {COL 161.2}

In the heart of Christ, where reigned perfect harmony with God, there was perfect peace. {COL 161.2}

Jesus won the battle. He kept his barrier up. He overcame the world. In his heart, there was perfect peace.

He was never elated by applause, {DA 330.3}

You can’t, don’t be elated. The people shouldn’t praise either.

… nor dejected by censure or disappointment. Amid the greatest opposition and the most cruel treatment, {DA 330.3}

When you stop feeling good, you know you’re not good. This is the deception of Satan against the mind. There are other things that create dopamine.

The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. {VSS 417.1}

The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise. This is an invention of Satan… {VSS 417.3}

What is his purpose? To break down our judgement wall so he created feel good music. The dopamine feelings is what you’re really worshiping.

This is an invention of Satan to cover up his ingenious methods for making of none effect the pure, sincere, elevating, ennobling, sanctifying truth for this time. Better never have the worship of God blended with music than to use musical instruments to do the work which last January was represented to me would be brought into our camp meetings…. {VSS 417.3}

Is that here today? This bedlam of noise?

The truth for this time needs nothing of this kind in its work of converting souls. A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit’s working. . . . {VSS 417.3}

There is a beat, hypnosis does the same thing. It takes prominent repetition of sound waves to beat upon the brain and that is neural stimuli. It is the same with the music. The beat and the sentimental music. This is the working of the devil so he can get into your brain. There are flashing lights. When people sit in front of the television, it flashes. Scene change after scene change and you get addicted. It doesn’t matter what the picture is, if it changes frequently every three seconds, it is releasing this chemical. It will make you feel like you worship God more, that you are lifted up. The fact that we want to hang onto it shows us something, that we are addicted to the feeling that it gives us. This whole world has done that. Little children’s minds get stimuli and when they open their Bibles, it’s boring, it doesn’t flash at me. I don’t want to undo that. We need to understand how subtle this battle really is. We need to make sure that we are not addicted to anything. The way you tell, is by getting rid of it. This is the first half of the battle. The other half is on depression. Men shall be lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.

There are churches that have coffee and chocolate biscuits for you to start the process and a half clad lady singing. This church is alive for the Lord but it’s not, it’s alive for the devil. We need to make sure our worship is kept calm and happy. What happens when you go into the sunshine? Serotonin. It makes you happy but it’s not addictive like dopamine. It’s the one that the Lord would have us occupy. It can only come in to the frontal lobe with quiet, natural scenes. Jesus went into the hills and worshipped God there. Go into nature, pray to the Lord. We need to gird up the loins of our mind. Be addicted to nothing else but the ministry of the saints. When you serve the Lord, he will make you happy, but not like dopamine. Where Jesus is you will be happy, but not addicted.

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Is carbon in the air? Is hydrogen in the air? Is oxygen in the air? Is Nitrogen in the air? Dopamine is made from the air. Here we have the devil, which uses the power of the air, working in the children of disobedience.

Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6 And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Here is an offer for pleasures forevermore. Jesus Christ has destroyed the world and the lust of the world will pass away. He is offering us a relationship that will strengthen, quicken and make this part alive again to give you another chance so you can have an opportunity to avoid destruction of the world. Be sealed in the forehead, be holy his, sanctified and enjoy the riches of the ages to come. Pleasure now or pain later? Or a bit of pain now and more pleasure later? What is your choice? If you want to be serious in following the Lord we need to examine where we are getting this little pride feeling. We need to cut it down. Every thought needs to be brought into the captivity of Christ. When this is done as a reality God can come as you’ll be safe because you’ll be banked in heaven where everything you desire will be in heaven where thieves don’t steal and rust don’t corrupt it.
