The Name Seventh Day Adventist and Lawsuits

Isaiah 65:15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name:

A few thoughts on the “trade mark” persecution.

” In 1981, the Seventh-day Adventist Church General Conference Corporation acting for the church and as head of the church obtained a trademark registration for the name “Seventh-day Adventist” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, becoming the very first Protestant church denomination in America to appeal to the state for protection of her name.”

In the Image of God

Audio: The Image of God

Jesus taught that relationships are the greater weight of Christian progress. The Pharisees tithed with mint, anise and cumin but forgot the weightier matters of the law. Jesus says in a parable that a brother who judges another brother has a beam in his own eye. The mote that was being judged was a small problem in comparison to the relationship issues of judging one another. It is very important for Christians to relate well to one another and the world around them. This is what Jesus emphasised in His prayer.

Understanding the Concept of Perfection

2013-10-06 15.51.11

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Unto what type of man? A perfect man. Who is the perfect man? Jesus Christ. Does anyone disbelieve that Jesus was perfect? We will use Ephesians as the standard. In Revelation it speaks of measuring the people with a rod and the people have to come up to a standard. The definition of perfection is the standard of Christ. Read the rest of this entry

02 Understanding Legalism Versus Gospel Religion

By John Thiel, Marriage Seminar, Study 2, Audio: mp3

Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.  2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

And from their zeal for God, they are doing it from their own perspective.

Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.  4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Read the rest of this entry

The Publican and the Pharisee Part 1

Have you ever been to court? Perhaps you’ve been sued or desired to stand up for your rights. How much stress did it cause? How much brain power did you engage in dwelling upon your case? When you receive a letter in the mail to say you’ve been summoned to court, you get this feeling that comes up and grabs you around the throat, especially if you’ve done something wrong. All that night you’ll go to sleep and be thinking about the events that have taken place and what they might say and what the result will be. The human mind upon earthly court cases is absolutely absorbed with going through the facts and events to put together your defense. All this is done before the date of appearance. Do you know that we all have been summoned to court?

09 The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

Audio: mp3

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed [are] they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

We are invited to come to the marriage supper of the lamb.  God designed that everything around us would send messages to us of himself so that where ever we looked or what we did would speak of him. That is what Gods design was.  If we consider that so that when wake up in the morning we would remember the resurrection of the dead.  Is that not what it is equated to?  Someone waking up out of sleep?  If we would wake up and say Lord, may I be part of the resurrection? Then you might look out of your window and you would see the sun rising and your mind would think;

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just [is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Read the rest of this entry
